What drives us
At The Hele Bay Soap Company our philosophy is to provide high quality products and reliable service for customers.

Company
The Hele Bay Soap Company was established in 2007, its aim was to bring handmade soaps, luxurious bath products and other bathroom accessories to North Devon. We are based in Hele Bay just outside of Ilfracombe on the fabulous North Devon Coast. This is an area famed for its surf, beaches and coastal walks.

All of our product recipes are certified by a chemist who approves them in accordance with EU legislation. All our products are labelled with a list of ingredients, batch number and contact details. As a product manufacturer, we hold MSDS, Allergen information & maintain a PIF as records in accordance with the requirements set out by the EU Regulations.

Ethical Policies

We are absolutely against animal testing. None of our products contain any animal products and most of our products are suitable for vegans with the small exception of those containing beeswax.

We will only use the best ingredients. We source locally when ever we can.

There is a debate about the use of Parabens in toiletry products. These products are not banned in the production of toiletry products, but there is much talk about them and their possibly carcinogenic properties. You can find out more about Parabens here.


Packaging

We do package our soaps individually.

100% Organic is something we can achieve if requested. At the moment we only buy from suppliers who provide the best quality ingredients some of which will be organic.

We are committed to being a green company, we will recycle and reuse whatever possible within the workings of our company.
